The franc or CHF in any other language, or internationally. Code: CHF is the currency and legal tender of Switzerland and Liechtenstein; it is also a legal tender in the Italian exclave of Campione d’Italia. The Swiss National Bank (SNB) issues banknotes and the federal mint Swiss mint issues coins.
The smaller denomination, a hundredth of a franc, is a Rappen. The ISO 4217 code of the currency used by banks and financial institutions is CHF.
The euro (sign: €; code: EUR) is the official currency of 19 of the 27 member states of the European Union. This group of states is known as the eurozone or euro area and includes about 343 million citizens as of 2019. The euro, which is divided into 100 cents, is the second-largest and second-most traded currency in the foreign exchange market after the United States dollar.
EUR CHF represents the Euro-Swiss franc currency pair. Therefore, this currency pair displays the exchange rate of the franc against the Euro.
Here is an example: if the exchange rate of EUR CHF is 1.1040, the cost of one Euro in Swiss francs is equivalent to 1.1040 Swiss francs (CHF). This is the exchange rate of the EUR/CHF currency pair.
